Facebook Ads vs Google Ads: Which Paid Advertising Should You Use For Online Marketing

03:02
There are Facebook ads and Google ads, which one should you use? Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Google is intent based. People type into Google what they are looking for, such as "cheap hotels in Las Vegas". So when people type in what they are looking for, if you have an ad that solves their problem, they will convert. If you are an intent based business that sells products or services to people who want to solve a specific problem, then Google is a great fit. Facebook, on the other hand, is for targeting a broad audience. For example, you can target people who are interested in cars, beauty or any other market out there. So if you have a product that appeals to a mass market, Facebook can be a great fit for you. From your ad, you can send people to an informational page that educates the consumer on why they should learning more about your product or service. After they are educated it becomes easy to sell them. With Facebook, if you are selling a low-end product you can just send people directly to your product landing page, but it tends not to convert as well compared to sending them to an informational page first.

Want more search traffic? Well through Google Search Console you can accomplish that. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Step #1: Log into your Search Console - in the search analytics reports you can see the most popular pages that are driving your search traffic. When you click on a page you want to improve, Googe will show you a list of keywords that drive clicks and impressions to your site. You can even download a CSV file that contains each of those keywords. Step #2: Integrate those keywords into your web page - you can't just shove keywords into your article, it has to flow. In most cases you will have to re-write your article or re-write your page, but it will be worth it. With my site I typically make my articles double the length and I try to naturally include the keywords when I can. Step #3: Include the keywords in your meta tags - by adding your main keywords within your title and meta description it will help increase your click through rate and rankings. Step #4: Submit the page to Google - once you have updated your page, submit it to Google Search Console. Within a few weeks, you should notice an increase in search traffic.

How to Rank #1 on Google for the World's Most Competitive Keywords | Ranking First Page for "SEO"

05:04
Try it, google "SEO" and you'll see that NeilPatel.com is ranked on Google's first page. How'd I do it? Watch this video: ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog I'm going to let you in on a little secret, but you have to make a promise to me. You can't use this against me. I rank for the most competitive term on Google, on page one. You know what that term is? SEO, I'm competing with other marketers who know what they're doing. That's harder than just competing with other companies. I'm competing with companies with money that know what they're doing. And I'm on page one for the term SEO. And I'm going to show you the exact steps I took to rank there, but again, you have to promise not to use this for that term so that you would outrank me. #1: Your content needs to be super-detailed and thorough If it's not thorough, like pillar content. What I mean by pillar content is, that one piece of content that pretty much explains everything out there under the sun for that one topic. You know what the number-one result for SEO is? It's Moz; it's The Beginner's Guide to SEO. It's long, and it discusses everything about SEO, from how to do it, what it's about, how it got started, every little thing and every tactic or formula that Google's looking at to rank a site. Now, my content doesn't rank us high, but if you notice, the content on Neil Patel isn't as thorough. And you don't have to be as thorough, but it just shows, the more detailed you are, the better off you're going to be in rankings. #2: Your content needs to be beautiful The better-designed and the more beautiful it is, the better-off you are. People don't like looking at ugly stuff. I don't like looking at ugly web pages. No one else does either. Make sure your stuff is really pretty. #3: It has to load fast. If it doesn't load fast, it's not gonna work for most people, especially on their mobile phones. They're pulling out their mobile phone, they're like, oh, this is taking forever to load. More than 50% of the people using Google are on their mobile phone or mobile device. So make sure your site loads fast, and especially that webpage that you're trying to rank. #4: After you do that, cross-link that post or that pillar page on every other page on your website. If you go to Neil Patel and you go to any single blog post, you'll notice that I link to my SEO article. It's providing more juice; it's telling Google, hey, I'm linking to this article on every single page for a reason. It's important; I find it important, I want users to know it's important. They're clicking on it; you should rank it high up as well. #5 The next thing you need to do is use Ahrefs. Go, type in your competitor URLs, and see who links to them. Hit up all of those people and ask them for a link. For example, you can send them a short email saying, "Hey John, I noticed you're linking to X, Y, and Z site. I have a similar article that came out, but mine covers one, two, and three that their article didn't. Feel free to check it out here, and if you like it, link to it. Cheers, Neil." And leaving an email like that to other people leave to your competitors will cause more links back to you. If you send 100 of those, you should get roughly five people linking back to you. If you don't get five linking back to you, that means the email you're sending is too irrelevant people that shouldn't be linking to you in the first place. #6 The next thing you'll want to do is, be patient. You're not going to rank right away. That page, after it was put up, it took a year and a half before it popped onto the first page. You have to be patient and continually update it, provide more value, make it prettier design. But as long as you're keeping everything up-to-date and you're patient, eventually you'll notice that your rankings will climb. Mine went from being in the top thousand to top hundred to page five, to page four, to three, to two, and eventually page one. It was a slow, gradual build. #7 And here's the last tip for you, and this is what most people don't tell you when it comes to ranking. If you have two sites, General Motors and BMW, they both have a lot of links, they both have billions of dollars to spend on SEO and marketing. So how does Google know which one to rank higher for car-related terms? It's brand-related. If Google noticed that more people are searching for BMW over General Motors, what are they going to do? They're going to start ranking BMW higher because they have a bigger brand.

3 Ways to Promote Your Website When You Don't Have Any Money

03:12
Who says you need money to market your business. That's one of the biggest myths in online marketing. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Heck, online marketing is popular because it allows the little guy to compete with the large corporations without needing tons of cash. Here's how you market your website when you have no money. Step 1: Go to Quora and search for all of the questions that people have within your space and answer them. When it makes sense, link back out to your website. This is so effective that my Quora profile gets hundreds of thousands of views each month. Step 2: Create content in different formats (text, video, audio) and promote them on the social web (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Quora). You can post the same content on multiple social sites as Google DOES NOT penalize for duplicate content. When using this tactic make sure you only put part of your content on social media and make the readers click over back to your site to read the rest. Step 3: Google for forums within your space and respond to questions. Within your forum response add a signature that lists your website. The better response you give the more traffic you will get. That's how you market your website when you can't spend any money on marketing. :)

How to Promote Your Content When You Have No Followers

Who said you need social media followers to get more traffic to your blog? Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Whether you have social media fans or you are starting out from scratch, here is what you need to do: You need to link out to industry sites. It doesn't matter if it is a competitor. By linking out when you are citing facts or sources, it will build trust with your audience. You can't just write a blog post with claims and not cite your sources. This will damage your reputation. Once I link out to people ask them to share my content on the social web. In essence, I am emailing every person I link out to. Within that email, I ask them to share my post on their favorite social network. This works well because people don't mind promoting you when you are promoting them via a link. Here is the email template I use: Hey [website owner], I love your work, so much so that I even linked out to you in my latest blog post. [insert link to your blog post] Feel free to check it out. Cheers, [Your name] PS: If you shared this post it wouldn't just make my day, it would make my year.

What Are Backlinks and How Do They Work?

03:51
There are over 200 factors that Google uses to rank a website. But the number one factor that Google uses is backlinks. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Backlinks are when someone links to your website from their site. The more sites that link to you, the higher you will rank in Google. Now all backlinks aren't equal. Here are some of the things Google looks at when analyzing backlinks: 1. How authoritative is the site linking to you? If Huffington Post links to you it is more effective than if I, NeilPatel.com links to you. Why? Because Huffington Post is considered a well known authoritative site. 2. Authority is measured by a metric called "domain authority". It's from a scale of 0 to 100. The higher the number the better. You ideally want to get backlinks from sites with a domain authority that is higher than yours. You can use the tool ahrefs.com to learn what your domain authority is. 3. The more related a site is the better the link. If you are in the plumbing space, a link from Huffington Post isn't as good as Home Depot (which is an authority site in the home repair space). Try to get links from high domain authority sites within your space. If you want to build links the quickest way to generate them is through round up posts. Email people within your space and interview them. Include their thoughts within your blog and let them know when you publish the post that includes them. Ask them to share the post on their favorite social network and even ask if they can link back to you. By doing this your rankings will climb in Google.

5 Tips For Increasing Your Google Adwords Quality Score | Save Money on Your PPC Ads

03:46
Want to pay less per click for your google adwords campaigns? Here are 5 tips to improve your adwords campaigns. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Summary The higher your Google AdWords quality score, the cheaper you're going to be paying per click. The way Google AdWords works is every time someone clicks on your ads; you pay money. So if you want to improve your quality score, you have to do a few simple things. Number one, target very specific keywords. Don't do broad match. If you go after particular keywords by doing the exact match, what'll happen is your ads will only show up for that particular keyword or phrase. When you go too broad, you're going to end up paying more per click because Google's going to be showing your ads to a lot of people who aren't clicking. The next tactic that you need to be following is negative keywords. For example, let's say you're selling computers. When someone types in Apple because you're also a reseller of Apple computers, you may want to add the negative keyword of food. Because if you show up for ads related to Apple and someone's looking for the food, you're going to be wasting money per click, your quality score is going to go down, and your ad costs are going to go through the roof. So make sure you add in negative keywords. Third, group your ppc keywords. What I mean by grouping is a lot of your keywords are similar to each other. Put those in one group. So the higher your click-through rate, the cheaper your ads will be. And the higher your click-through rate, the better your quality score is going to be. The fourth tip I have for you continues to optimize your ad text. If your ad texts get more click-through than the competitors, your cost per click is going to go down, and your quality score is going to go up. By testing, you're going to be able to figure out what works and what doesn't work. If you're unsure of this, look at your competitors. Type in a keyword. You can see the ad texts that other people are using at the top. Usually, the people at the top have appealing ad text and which is getting a ton of clicks. If you can't find a ton of examples when you're searching a keyword, go to SEMrush, put in a keyword, and it'll show you the history of all the people who have been bidding on that keyword and what their ad copy was. Last but not least, optimize your landing page. If your landing page is fantastic when people go click through on your ad, go to your landing page, and buy, your quality score is going to go up. If your landing page sucks and people keep bouncing back off, well, Google's going to ding your quality score. The way you can landing page is, A, put your keywords on that landing page. So if someone Googles the keyword marketing and your landing page also shows marketing, you're much more likely to keep the visitor on there and convert. B, continually run tests using Crazy Egg. Using Crazy Egg, you can see where people are getting stuck on your landing page, what they like, how far down they're scrolling, and what you can improve on that page to create a better user experience. That's it. Follow all those techniques and tactics, and you're going to be able to improve your Google AdWords quality score and your inbound marketing efforts.

1 Simple Trick to Get Ranked High on Google FAST - HTML Internal Linking for SEO

02:26
One of the easiest ways to get ranked high on Google fast is to use HTML internal links (also known as inter linking or internal website links). Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ I rank high on page 1 for the term "online marketing". Why? Because I link to that page throughout my whole site. The way you can achieve similar results is by taking the pages that have your best content and linking to them from other pages within your site. In other words, build more internal links to your key pages. You can do this by linking to your most important pages within your sidebar or footer. The key is to make sure the links are visible. If you hide them it can potentially hurt you. There are two rules you need to follow if you want to boost your rankings through internal links: 1. Add links within your content (make sure the links are relevant to your content) 2. Link to your most important pages It's that simple... Now just because you add more internal links it doesn't mean your rankings are going to shoot right up. It can take 4 to 6 months to kick in. For me, it took me over a year to rank for the term "online marketing".

7 Blogging Tips That Will Make Your Blog Successful (Storytelling Techniques)

02:57
Have you ever wondered what popular bloggers do that you don't? Well, knowing how to be a great blogging storyteller to engage readers is one of the most effective blog writing techniques you can learn. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Are you tired of writing content that no one is reading? Well if you follow these 7 steps, people will start reading and sharing your content. Step 1: Write with the words "you" and "I". It makes the reader feel like you are having a conversation with them, which causes them to read more. This is a popular blog writing technique as this type of storytelling connects with readers. Step 2: Your paragraphs can't be more than 5 or 6 lines. Long paragraphs seem overwhelming which discourages people from reading. Step 3: Use sub-headings. Sub-headings make your content easier to skim. But, great bloggers know how to tell stories with their subheadings. This helps to engage readers by drawing them into your blog content. Step 4: Write a conclusion. By having a conclusion people will know what your blog post is about. Many readers scroll down, read the conclusion first and then the rest of the blog post. Step 5: Cite your facts. When you are using facts, make sure you cite them. If you don't you won't build credibility, which means your readers won't trust you. Step 6: Use pictures. Popular bloggers know that a picture says 1000 words. So why not use images to convey your message. Step 7: Write thorough/actionable content. If people gain value from your blog they will come back for more. If you are writing fluff, readers will bounce off your site and never come back. Thanks for watching "What Popular Bloggers Know: How to Be A Great Storyteller - Blog Writing Techniques".

7 Free Tools to Rank #1 in Google | SEO Optimization Techniques to Skyrocket Your Rankings

05:07
You want to rank number one in Google. How do you do it?►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Most people say you need to build links. Most people say you need to do on page SEO. But where do you start? Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share seven free tools that will help you rank number one on Google. Tip #1: Quick Sprout Analyzer. Quick Sprout's a free tool, go to quicksprout.com, put in your URL, it's a gamified SEO application, and it'll break down the problems, and will walk you through how to fix them step by step. If you're not putting in the right keywords in your title tag or your description or your alt image tags, Quick Sprout will tell you, and Quick Sprout can publish them all for you. This will help with SEO optimization and google ranking. #2: Yoast SEO plugin. It's one of my favorite tools. With the Yoast SEO plugin, every time you publish a blog post, it'll give you a score and tell you, hey, here's how you can optimize every single one of your blog posts to get the maximum amount of traffic. #3: Google Search Console. With Google Search Console every time you publish a new blog post or a page, you have an XML site map. The XML site map is created by the Yoast Plugin which you then submit to Search Console. Search Console shows you how many impressions you're getting, how many clicks you're getting, which pages are popular, and it even shows you which keywords are getting a lot of impressions for, but not a lot of clicks. You can then go and optimize your content by adding those keywords in, adjusting your title tag, your meta description to include those keywords, and maximize your click-through rate and boost your google ranking. #4: Google Trends. Google Trends shows you brand queries. That way you'll know which brands are more popular and what people are searching for. Take the car industry for example. There's General Motors, and BMW. They both have millions of dollars to spend on SEO. They both have millions of back links. How does Google know which to rank higher? One of the factors within Google is brand queries and Google Trends will show you that BMW is searched far more than General Motors. So what's Google going to do? They're going to rank the more popular car manufacturer ahead of the other. #5: websiteresponsivetest.com More people are using Google on their mobile or tablet devices than they are on their desktop or laptops. You want to make sure your website is responsive, and people on mobile devices can load your website extremely fast, and using this free tool, it'll show you how other websites and mobile visitors are seeing your website. #6: Screaming Frog. Screaming Frog is a super technical SEO optimization tool. You put in a URL, and it shows you every little thing that's wrong, from titles to headings to keywords to links. It analyzes every little thing from the super advanced technical framework. #7: Google PageSpeed Insights. Google PageSpeed Insights shows how fast your website loads and if it loads slow, that's okay. They break down a list that shows what you need to improve both for desktop devices and mobile devices, so that way your website can load extremely fast. Make sure your website loads extremely fast. Check out those tools, they work really well, and will help you rank #1 in google. Take your blog content, publish the first few paragraphs and add a "click to continue reading" link at the end. If people want to read the rest they can click through over to your blog. This has helped me generate over 30,000 visitors a month from LinkedIn. Opportunity #5: Niche blogs - Every industry has niche blogs. Not the TechCrunch's of the world, but the small ones. Participate on these blogs and leave comments. When leaving a comment you can add your URL and it will drive traffic back to your site. Make sure the comments you are leaving are thoughtful. Opportunity #6: StumbleUpon - It's not the most popular social network but it can still drive you thousands of visitors. You can buy clicks for pennies on the dollar through StumbleUpon Ads. If you want free traffic all you have to do is use their toolbar. Opportunity #7: Facebook groups - Similar to fan pages there are a lot of popular groups within your space. Help people within the groups and respond to their questions. As you respond to questions, feel free and link to your site if it is relevant and will help others. Use those 7 tactics and you will generate more traffic to your site.

How to Write Copy That Converts | 5 Things You Need to Know About Writing GREAT Marketing Copy

03:14
People are coming to your website and not buying. Why? Because your copy isn't persuasive. Copywriting isn't about being the smoothest writer out there. It's about answering objections. If people are satisfied by getting answers to all of their concerns, they are more likely to convert. When writing copy focus on your headline. 8 out of 10 people will read your headline, but only 2 or 10 will read the rest of your content, which shows you need to focus on the headline. Headline writing is all about stating the problem that your customers are facing and then giving them the solution. Now that you have your headline down, you need to write copy for the rest of the site. Just put yourself in the visitor's shoes and write copy for people in different segments. For example, make it easy for people to buy right away if they know your product or solution and give details for those who want to learn more before they buy. Don't worry about copy length, focus on answering all objections and in general your sales go up. Lastly, make sure you test your copy using Crazy Egg. It will tell you what is working and what isn't through their visual reports and A/B testing.

How to Drive More Website Traffic From Facebook Groups

If you have a Facebook group, awesome! If not, no worries you can still leverage them. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ If you have your own group, anytime someone asks a question, feel free to share a link from your site that answers their question. This not only drives traffic, but it helps you build a connection with your visitors. Which means they will be more likely to convert into customers. Now you only want to link back to your site when the content benefits people within the group. if it doesn't then don't share the link. If you don't have a Facebook group, why not join groups within your niche. Searches for keywords on Facebook and you'll see groups within your industry. When people have questions, answer them. Help them out. And if you have content related to their question, feel free and link out to your site (assuming it answers their question). This is a long term strategy and is more about relationship building than just driving traffic back to your site. Keep in mind this only works if you are joining relevant groups.

How to Breakthrough and Get Your First 1000 Followers on Facebook for Free

02:03
How to Breakthrough and Get Your First 1000 Followers on Facebook for Free Do you want a popular Facebook fan page? Well, who doesn’t. One simple way of growing your fan page is through advertising, but that's expensive and the quality of those fans usually aren't as high as the ones who naturally want to "like" your page. In this video I break down how to get more Facebook fans without spending a dollar on advertising. Here are some of the strategies I discuss: 1. 0:22 How to Get More Facebook Followers Fast: Setting goals after you create a business page is important. However, sometimes it’s easy to forget that you already have a loyal fan base of friends and family. Inviting your Facebook friends to join is an important first step towards having a popular Facebook page. Best of all, it's an easy way to get free Facebook likes. 2. 0:27 What Makes A Good Facebook Page: My advice to every business on Facebook is to look for all of the competing fan pages and see what content does well on their page. To increase Facebook fans, post similar content on your page. (Keep in mind videos and images do the best). 3. 1:05 Study Your Competitors: Add your competing fan pages to your Facebook Insights. From there replicate their most successful stories and create better versions of it. 4. 1:36 Can You Make Money on Facebook?: There’s no other social media site that generates as much referral traffic as Facebook does—not even close. It’s a unique platform because users are more than willing to click on links to visit content published on websites outside of Facebook (sites like yours). The best Facebook entrepreneurs have mastered how to send traffic from Facebook to their website. They write the type of content that their fans love and then share it on their fan page. This drives traffic back to their site to produce more sales. Take immediate control and do the same for your business. 8 Steps to Making Your Blog Successful - Passive Income Online Blogging

06:06
If you want to make a passive income online blogging, then are 8 techniques that you must master. Are you tired of working on something you don't love? Well, why not generate an income through blogging. Step #1: You need to pick a niche. The niche should be something you are passionate about or else you will eventually quit. Blogging doesn't make you a passive income fast, it can take 6 to 12 months. Hence you should be passionate about the subject you are blogging about. You can also use Google Trends to see if your niche is small or big. Step #2: Sign up for fast web hosting is often overlooked by bloggers, but is a very important step if you hope to make a passive income online blogging. Bluehost is usually the easiest one to get started with as it has a one click "WordPress" install. Once you install WordPress, you can then select a free design. With a fast website, you'll be able to get more sales and this means you'll start to make a passive income online blogging. Step #3: Sart writing content. Make sure you are writing content that people want to read. If no one wants to read your content you won't do well. So before you start writing, come up with topic ideas and ask others what they think. When writing your content make sure you create an appealing headline. 8 out of 10 people will read your headline, but only 2 out of 10 will read the rest of your content. If you are wondering how to create an appealing headline, check out the Copyblogger headline formula. Step #4: Outline your content before you start writing. Think of your high school English class. From the introduction to the conclusion to the body, outline your content. A few more tips to follow are that paragraphs shouldn't be longer than 5 or 6 lines, you are using the words "you" and "I" as well as including subheadings. This makes your content skimmable and more enjoyable to read. Make sure you ask a question at the end of your conclusion as this will help encourage comments. Step #5: Link out to other blogs. When you are writing content you have to link out to other people to cite your sources. This ensures your content is credible. Step #6: Write 1 to 3 times a week. Being consistent is important or else your blog won't grow. Try to blog 3 times a week if you have the time. Step #7: If you want to be a successful blogger who makes a passive income online, then you need to know how to get readers back to your blog. You can use the free tools Hello Bar and Subscribers. These two tools will get people coming back to your blog on a regular basis. This will make it easier to monetize your website in the future. Step #8: Monetize your blog. You have multiple options when it comes to making money. You can try Google AdSense, which is ads Google puts on your blog. You can test out affiliate links through Clickbank. In which you get paid every time you promote someone else's products or services and you drive a sale. For fresh residual income opportunities, you can create your own products or services. From things like selling clothes if you have a fashion blog to creating an ebook around a pain point your readers are facing the possibilities are endless. Or you can do all three if you would like. And that's how make a passive income online blogging. 04:19
So what is affiliate marketing? You don't need money to market your business. Through affiliate marketing, you can generate sales without having to spend money upfront. Affiliate marketing is performance based marketing. In which you pay people out every time they drive you a lead or a sale. The cool part about affiliate marketing is that you decide what you want to pay people every time someone drives you a sale. Affiliates get sales through SEO, PPC, email marketing or any other channel they please. The hardest part about selling on affiliate platforms is recruiting affiliates. For this reason, you want to join networks like Clickbank, which will guide you on what you should pay out affiliates and they will help recruit them. You can also go to conferences like Affiliate Summit or Affiliate World to recruit more affiliates. Plus you will learn about affiliate marketing from these events including how to recruit affiliate marketers. Now once you get affiliates you want to make sure your landing page converts well. Affiliates are really good at knowing how to market Clickbank products. But if you don't convert your leads into sales, then affiliate marketers will stop promoting your products. Using Qualaroo you can run surveys on your landing page to figure out what's wrong. In addition to that, you can run tests through Crazy Egg to also help boost your conversion rate. If you aren't using affiliate marketing, you should consider trying it out. It is one of the most cash efficient marketing channels out there. How to Build Unique Links to Skyrocket SEO Rankings (2018) | Backlink Strategies to Rank on Google

06:27
Do you know the #1 SEO ranking factor? It's building links. ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Moz did a study. They interviewed SEO experts. And you know what they said was the number one factor that impacts your Google rankings? Links. But unique links are tough to build. So how are you going to create them? Today I'm going to share with you how I built over 23,000 unique links to neilpatel.com. And what's impressive about this is neilpatel.com is purely marketing-related. If I can convince other marketers to link to me, you can build links using the same exact tactics. So let's break down how I built over 23,000 unique backlinks. Go to BuzzSumo. Type in a keyword related to your industry. It'll show you all the popular articles based on social shares. Take the articles that are in-depth and list-based and break down things step by step, and then create an infographic with that same information. You can spice it up, add your own data to it, but, hey, the content is all right there in front of you. When you create this infographic, you need to cite the source that you got all your information from this specific website, but it'll go viral. Why? Because most people would rather look at an image than read thousands and thousands of words of text. Use Infogram or Canva to help build your infographic, or you can use Dribbble, dribbble.com to hire a designer. If you're going to pay a designer, it doesn't cost more than 500 bucks. Now that you created an infographic, what you need to know is this: an infographic has to be super visual. If it's data-rich, that's great. But if it has a ton of colors and is hard to look at, that's not good. If your steps don't flow in a smooth pattern, that's not good. Once your infographic is up and running, add an embed code so other people can take that infographic and put it on their website. If they put it on their website, what does it do? It links back to yours. If you don't know how to create embed code, use a plugin on WordPress called WP Embed Code Generator, and that'll just create the embed code for you so then that way people can just copy and paste and slap your infographic on their website. Now that you got that infographic up on your website and people can embed it so that'll create backlinks, you need to get traffic to your site. If you don't get traffic, no one's going to embed it. I want you to go back to BuzzSumo and find that article that had all those shares. Click on View Shares, and that'll break down every single person that shared that article on Twitter. You want to email 'em, "Hey John; I noticed you shared this article on Twitter "called 101 Ways to Boost Your Traffic by author Neil Patel. "I have a similar infographic "that breaks down those points in a visual fashion. "Cheers, David." Now that you're sending out these emails, you're going to get a lot of responses, people being like, "Yes, I want to see it." Not only will they share it, but a lot of them will embed it. Now, the next thing you want to do is go to Ahrefs, ahrefs.com. Put in that competitor article and see every single person who links to them and email them. It's that simple. And then once you have the audience, you want to create more amazing content, and I love using the Skyscraper Technique which Brian Dean invented. Go to BuzzSumo again, you type in keywords, and you're looking for articles like 10 Ways to Double Your Search Engine Traffic, and you want to write more thorough articles, like 101 Ways to Double Your Search Engine Traffic. You click on the View Shares. You hit up each of those people using an email. You get them to share your articles. And then, boom, you'll get more traffic, more backlinks, and it'll keep rolling in and create this snowball effect. You also want to do the same thing with Ahrefs. You go, type in your competitor URL, and you'll see all the people who link to them and which articles get the most links. Write better versions of those articles and then email them again with the same email template and asking them to link to you. By doing those things, you'll get a ton of links. Now, as you get this traffic coming to your website, you need to use a tool called Hello Bar. Hello Bar makes it simple to collect emails, just like how I collect emails on neilpatel.com with my exit pop-up. Now, when you're collecting all these emails, what ends up happening is when you publish a new blog post, you can email all these people letting them know about your latest blog post. They'll come back to your website, they're more likely to share it, more likely to read it, and more likely to link back to you. If you need help with online or digital marketing leave a question or comment below and I'll be sure to answer!

Maybe you started a new YouTube channel, but nobody is watching. Well, now you won't have to worry about that. Here's how to make your content, ads, videos and marketing go viral each and every time: Step 1: Go to Google Trends to see what's popular. On their homepage it will show what's going viral right now. If you write content that is just starting to go viral, you'll be able to ride that wave and increase the chances of your content going viral too. Step 2: Go to Buzzsumo and type in keywords within your space. You'll see the most popular content within your space that went viral. Take the top viral pieces and write more detailed version than what worked in the past on Buzzsumo. For example, if someone wrote "10 Ways to Keep Your Dog Healthy", you would want to write "101 Ways to Keep Your Dog Healthy". Once you have written your viral blog post, hit up all of the people that shared the other similar articles on Buzzsumo and ask them to share your content. Buzzsumo will break down each person who shared it so you will know who to contact. By doing this more people will be sharing your content and it will always go viral. The Effective Ranking Factor That Google Doesn't Want You to Know About

02:45
If you want to grow your rankings, what do you do? You build links, optimize your on-page code and you improve your user metrics. But there is one other metric that is really important that impacts rankings. It's branded queries. The more people typing in your domain name and brand the higher your rankings will grow as long as they click on your search listing. I used to rank on page 2 for "online marketing" and now I rank on page 1 for "online marketing". The only differences is that I have more brand queries. Over the years more people have been Google my brand name and this has caused my rankings to spike. But for this to be impactful you need to continually grow your brand. The way you do this is by consistently blogging, marketing, participating on the social web and growing your name within your community. If you are unsure of why you need to build a strong brand, think of this scenario. If both BMW and GM both have millions of backlinks, who should Google rank first? A lot has to come down to brand queries as this tells Google which car manufacturer people prefer.

The strange part? PEOPLE KEEP ASKING ME TO TALK ABOUT IT. And it makes sense, too. Even when I look back on my own personal journey, I benefited from knowing how to get more Instagram followers fast and easy. So, if you want to know: - How to get real Instagram followers no survey or download - How to get your first thousand Instagram followers - How to be Instafamous Or if you searched for: - How to get more Instagram followers guide - 2017 how to get more Instagram followers tricks - How to get more Instagram followers fast 2017 Then this video is for you. Here's how get more Instagram followers fast: Step #1: 0:22 Your Instagram marketing strategy should begin with a good profile image. Ideally, something that looks professional. Instagram is a "visual" social network. So make sure your profile photo looks good. And having a profile image isn't enough. You need to have a thorough bio that includes your name, a description of what you do, and the main benefit people will get from following you (Ex: Top 10 marketer in the world by Forbes, I teach people how to grow their traffic). Step #2: 1:00 Want to know how to get Likes on Instagram? Create amazing, beautiful images. No matter what kind of marketing gimmicks you run, it won't work unless you focus on high-quality images. If you aren't sure on what kind of images to upload, do a search for hashtags within your niche and you'll see what has performed well in the past. Replicate that. Step #3: 1:29 This is how to be Instafamous. You need to post on a consistent basis. Instead of posting once a week, post once to twice a day. This will cause fewer likes per photo, but it will grow your follower count faster. Consider testing the times 10 am and 6 pm as they tend to do well. When posting, make sure you include a long description of the photo. This will cause your photo to be seen more when people use the search feature. And make sure you include hashtags when posting each photo. Around 10 is a good start. Again this will help your photo be found when users do searches. Step #4: 2:33 Here’s how to get more Instagram followers fast and how to get your first thousand followers. Follow 30 people per hour. You can technically follow more but you don't want to hit Instagram's spam filters. When you follow people, make sure they are ones you are interested in and they are in your space. This is how to get more Instagram followers fast and cause more comments. And when people leave a comment, engage and respond back because it will cause your followers to become loyal. When you have a loyal following you can post images such as "tag a friend whom you would like to go to this destination with"... by doing this you'll notice that this is how to get more Instagram followers without following others. Hope you enjoy my video: "How to get Instagram Followers Fast 2017 & How to be Instafamous.

Should You Spend Time on Meta Tags?

02:53
Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Anytime you do a Google search, what do you see? Well, of course you see a listings page, but you also see a title and description of each website. The title and description are meta tags, which Google pulls from your website. There are a few different meta tags. The title and description that I described above. As well as a meta keywords tag. A meta keywords tag is where you tell search engines what keyword the page is related to. This meta tag is useless and search engines ignore it. Now when you first create a new web page, don't spend too much time on your meta tags. Instead of stuffing keywords into them, focus on making them appealing so people click on them. The reason you don't want to spend too much time on your meta tags is that new pages tend not to rank well on search engines. Once your page is 6 months old you'll notice that it will get more traffic. From there you'll want to log into Google Search Console and see what keywords Google is driving to that page. You can then integrate those keywords into your title and meta description and over time your rankings will climb higher. Just make sure when you modify your meta tags you keep the user in mind. They should ideally contain keywords and be appealing when people read them.

One big factor is click through rate. Let's say you Google the term "dog". If Google notices that everyone clicks on the second listing, eventually they will move up the second listing to the first spot and the first listing to the second spot (they will flip them around). Google is using user signals to figure out to where to rank a website. So if you want to increase your rankings, increase your click through rates. The way you do this is by adjusting your title tag and meta description. By using adjectives within your title tag, you will notice you will get more clicks. A few of the phrases that have helped me increase my click through rate are: get, try free. If you want ideas on how to increase your clicks, Google the terms you want to rank for. Look at the paid ads. The way their paid ads algorithm works is that the ads that get the most clicks usually are at the top. So use similar title and descriptions to the paid ads. To monitor your click through rate you can use Google Search Console and see how you are improving over time.

A simple way to reduce you Google AdWords cost is by improving your click through rate. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ The way Google AdWords works is that if you ad gets 10 times more clicks than your competitor, even if you are paying less, they are more likely to show your ad at the top because in total Google will make more money from you. So if you want to improve your CTR you need to: 1. Use SEMrush - put in keywords and competitors in SEMrush. This will show you the ad text your competitors are using. If your competitors are constantly using a specific ad text, it usually means it converts well for them. 2. Create better copy than your competitors - look at what they use and try to come up with better variations. 3. Use keywords within your copy - if you include the keyword people are searching for in your ad copy you are more likely to get clicks. The copy needs to sound good, just adding a keyword isn't enough. 4. Start day parting - if you are in the B2B space people are more likely to become customers during normal business hours. So only show your ads when your ideal customers are online. For the B2C space, you can consider running your ads during all hours of the day. 5. Geo target - if you are only doing business in a certain region, then show ads only within those regions. This will help increase your overall CTR, which will reduce your ad costs.

Bulletproof Tactic to Dominate Google Search Rankings - How to Create Backlinks For SEO

It's also about how authoritative those sites linking to you are. And more importantly, how authoritative those web pages linking to you are. One way to help boost the authority of the sites/web pages linking to you is to build links to them. For example, if there is an article on Entrepreneur.com article that links back to my website, I then Google for articles that contain similar keywords. Once I have a list of similar articles, I put those URLs in Ahrefs to see who links to them. I then reach out to each of those sites and encourage them to link out to the Entrepreneur.com article that mentions me. By using the template that I mention in this video you'll find that you can also build links to the web pages linking to you. Over time as I build more links to the sites linking to me, my Google search rankings get higher. Why? Because the pages linking to me are continually growing in authority due to this tier 2 link building strategy. If you do the same as I do, then you'll have the best Google search rankings you've ever had before. 6 Tips to Writing an Amazing Blog Post That Drives a TON of Traffic to Your Website

03:50
If you're going to start a blog, then you want to learn how to write an amazing blog post. Don't be average, follow these six simple blogging tips. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret blogging tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Have you ever read blogs like mine, neilpatel.com, or Backlinko and be like, "Wow, "these guys write amazing awesome content! "Why can't I create content like that?" You know all those naysayers out there saying you can't do it? I don't care if you have terrible grammar and spelling like me, you can do it. If I can, everyone can. Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you what makes an excellent blog post. So, here are some of the things that you need to know if you want to write amazing and awesome blog posts. The first thing that makes a great one is a conversational tone. If you're writing with the words "you" and "I," you're creating a conversation with the reader. They'll feel a connection with you, they're more likely to engage, and your content's going to come out way better. The second thing you need to know, it's all about the headline. Eight out of 10 people will read your headline, but only two out of 10 will click through and read the rest. If your headline sucks, no one's going to read your content, and then, even if you wrote amazing posts, no one's going to know about it. So, how do you know if your content, more so your headline, is amazing, or is going to be amazing? You go to Buzzsumo, you type in keywords from your space, and you'll see what's popular. That'll give you ideas of what works and what doesn't. You can go to Reddit, you can go to Twitter, you can go to those sites and see what's working in your space, but Buzzsumo aggregates all the main social networks, and they do all the work for you. The third thing is a blog post that's educational, one that teaches, goes above and beyond where someone reads it and is like, "Hmm, I know now what to do. "This post laid it all for me step by step." That's amazing content. But if you read something, if I said, "Here are ten ways to double your traffic," and you read it, and you're just like, "Oh, how do I grow my traffic? "These concepts seem cool, but I'm lost. "What do I do?" That would suck, and you don't want that. You want something that educates and is actual, where people read it, and they're like, "Oh my God, Neil has amazing information, "and I am satisfied after I read it, "and I know what to do next." The fourth tip I have for you is written content that is trendy, up-to-date. People don't want to read regurgitated information. Sure, you don't have to leverage the latest trend, but write new stuff. Don't write stuff that's ten years old. That may have been amazing ten years from now, but people have moved on, technology, the time has changed. Make sure your content is up-to-date. The fifth tip I have for you is leverage different media formats, from images to infographics, to podcasts, to videos. Not everyone is text-based readers. Your blog posts don't just have to be filled with text. Include images or infographics that tell your story. Include videos that help get your message across. Include audio clips. By doing all of this, it'll make your content more amazing. And the last tip I have for you has cited your sources. You don't know everything, I don't know everything, and that's okay. We're all here to learn more. I could learn a lot, and I don't want ever to be the person who's the smartest person in the room. I want to be the person who's the dumbest one in the room. That way, I can learn more. So, when you're writing your content, and you're researching, and you're trying to prove your points and back up your claims, make sure you link to other people who have already done the research and cited this information. So that way, when you cite them, and you give them credit, it helps make you more reputable, and it shows people that you did your homework. It's okay if you don't know everything. Use Google to research all the stuff that you don't know, so that way you can make your blog posts way more thorough. Once you follow all those tips, your content will be way more amazing.

The Insider's Guide to Writing Clickbait Titles - The Secret Ingredient of Viral Marketing

02:49
Welcome to "The Insider's Guide to Clickbait Titles - The Secret Ingredient of Viral Marketing". (see what I did there?) Have you ever noticed that websites such as Buzzfeed, Mashable and UpWorthy get tens of thousands of social media shares? Perhaps you've wondered why so many people "Like" your YouTube video on Facebook, but only a handful ever click through to watch it? The reason is that clickbait titles are more tempting than a transparent headline. While 8 out of 10 people will read your blog post title or YouTube title, only 2 out of 10 will click through and read your blog post or watch your video. This just shows you that your choice of title (or headline) will determine if your content will be popular or not. If you want people to click on your blog post titles and read your articles then it's advisable that you use a "clickbait title". Here are the rules you need to follow: Rule #1: Your clickbait title should be 6 to 7 words. If they are too long people will feel overwhelmed. If they are too short they won't be descriptive enough which means people won't know what your blog post is about. Also when it is 6 to 7 words it fits nicely within Google's search results. Rule #2: Use adjectives. When you use words like: "best", "incredible", "unbelieveable" and "try", people are more likely to click on your titles. Rule #3: Use the current year within your clickbait title. When you are writing guides or detailed content, including the year helps with click-throughs. For example, if you wrote a post on creating a blog, your title may be, "How to Start a Blog [Updated in 2020]". Rule #4: Use tools like Portent Headline Generator. It will help you come up with creative ideas. All you have to do is enter a keyword and the tool does the rest. Rule #5: Checkout Copyblogger's headline formula. Copyblogger has created generic titles that work and just require you to enter a keyword. They provide 10 generic headlines that should work for your blog. Rule #6: Know your readers. When you know your readers you can create headlines and titles that are more related to them. For example, most of my readers are marketers that are just starting off. So when I create a title such as "How to Market Your Website When You Have No Money" the content tends to get read and thousands of social shares. Why? Because it is very relevant to my blog readers. Just follow the 6 rules above and you will do well. If you want to go viral, then combine your clickbait titles with clickbait featured images (or clickbait thumbnails for a YouTube video). Thanks for watching "The Insider's Guide to Clickbait Titles - The Secret Ingredient of Viral Marketing". Don't forget to click "Like" and to subscribe to my YouTube channel.

How Long Does It Take to Boost Your Google SEO Rankings? | 1 Month, 12 Month, and 2 Year Timeline

02:51
You've put in the hard work to try and boost your SEO rankings, but you're not sure how long it'll take for Google to notice. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Everyone's telling you to invest thousands of dollars or thousands of your hours into SEO. And if you do, when should you expect results? The last thing you want to do is spend thousands of dollars or thousands of your hours and it not do anything for you. That would just suck. Hey, everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you how long it takes to see results from SEO. Here are the SEO basics. Here's the thing. With neilpatel.com, when I first started search engine marketing, I quickly got up to 9,000 visitors a month from search. Within a matter of 12 months, you fast forward; I went to all the way to roughly 89,000 visitors a month from Google, right? So in one year I almost 10xed my results. You fast forward another 12 months; I hit over 450,000 visitors a month from Google. So in two years, I went from 9,000 to 400K and roughly 50,000 thousand visitors a month. That's a considerable increase, right? Just think about that. Nine to 450K. That's crazy. Now, you're not going to get the same results as me, because when I started neilpatel.com, this wasn't my first rodeo. I'd been in SEO for a long time, well over ten years. But I'll keep this simple, this is post about SEO for beginners, not pros. When you first begin SEO, in the first three months, you should see more impressions. Log into Google Search Console and look at Search Analytics. You will see how many impressions you're getting. As the first three months go by, your impressions should be going up. If they're not going up, you're probably doing something off, or you're in a competitive space. Within six months for sure, the impression count should go up. And within your Google Analytics, you should see traffic from Google other than terms from your brand name. You already may be getting a lot of traffic for your brand name, but you should be getting traffic for keywords outside of your brand name, even if it's not a lot. So in the first six months, you should be getting traffic from key terms that aren't your brand name. Within a year, things should start kicking in. Within two years, that's when you're going to see the bulk of your SEO growth. By then you've built up your authority and trust in Google, and you just start ranking for almost anything. Now, here's a caveat. If you're not building links and you're not writing a lot of content, and you're not getting social signals to your site, it can take even longer to get rankings. So, to get results within the timeframes I'm giving you, you need to be publishing at least one blog post a week, building at least five to 10 links a month, and you need to be promoting your content every single week on Facebook, Twitter, and any of your other social profiles. If you do that, you'll get results within the first 12 months, but you'll see the bulk of your results come within the first two years.

4 Ways to Decrease Your Bounce Rate (Rank Higher in Google)

02:25
If people keep bouncing off your site, you'll notice that you won't convert visitors into customers and your search engine rankings won't go up. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ The first thing you need to do in order to decrease your bounce is showcase your product or service right away. The chances are people are coming to your site to buy something, showcase what they are looking for. If they are coming to your site for information instead, then showcase your content first. With my blog, people would come for information, but I would first show an email optin. My bounce rate was high... I then removed the optin and my bounce rate decreased. Next, you need to increase your font size. Make sure your text size is large enough where people can read it. This is really important on mobile devices. After you fix your text size, make your design minimalistic. The more minimalistic your design is, the lower your bounce rate will be. I tested this out on the Crazy Egg blog and it worked well. In addition to adjusting your design, cross-link. By linking to internal pages people will stick on your site for longer. You can also use images, it helps convey your message in a visual way. Again this decreases bounce rate. Or you can use audio or video content formats if you prefer them over images. Just follow the steps above and your bounce rate will decrease.

7 Cool Hacks That'll Boost Your Conversion Rate

05:00
You don't have to be a designer or marketer to boost your leads and sales. Instead, there are simple hacks and tools you can use to increase your conversion rate. Hack #1: Countdown clocks - when you add a sense of urgency it makes people move faster. Test having countdown clocks on your web site. With tools like Deadline Funnel, you can even add countdown clocks within your emails and make offers expire within ease. That way people know there really is a sense of urgency. The countdown clock on the Neil Patel homepage boosted my conversions by 11%. Hack #2: Exit popups - with Hello Bar you can easily create an exit popup on your site. The exit popup on NeilPatel.com is one of the best converting offers. Through Hello Bar you can even add an animated gif to the background like I have. Hack #3: Free trials - most of your visitors aren't going to buy. Why not offer the users who don't convert a one dollar trial or a free 30-day trial? This simple technique boosted my revenue by 15%. Sure a lot of the free trial users cancel after a month, but an extra 15% in revenue still isn't bad. This tactic here is how companies like Hulu and Netflix have grown so fast. Hack #4: Use geotargeting - with Maxmind you can add the person's location within your web site. For example, if your visitor is based in Los Angeles, you can add their city to your headline to boost your conversions. Such as... "I am looking to help one entrepreneur in Los Angeles build a bigger business, my only question is, will it be you?". You can do the same thing for e-commerce or service sites. Hack #5: Picsnippets - people love handwritten notes and personalized emails. Picsnippets allows you to create a personalized email with the individual's name on a photo. This makes your emails seem personalized to the person opening it, hence your conversion rate will go up. Hack #6: Remarketing - everyone uses remarketing, but not why use it in a clever way? For everyone who hits your checkout page and doesn't buy, you should show them a remarketing ad/video that explains what they will get if they continue with the purchase. Hack #7: Quizzes - through tools like Lead Quizzes you can engage with your audience first and then ask them for their email address. You can use quizzes for any type of site. Let's say you have a fitness site, you can create a quiz that breaks down how someone can lose weight and at the end of the quiz show them relevant products that will help them lose weight.

How to Share Your Brand's Story On Your "About" Page

03:46
One of the most important pages on your website is your about page. This is where someone learns about your brands story. Once someone learns about you or your company, they'll decide if they want to stick around or leave. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Whether your about page is about you or your company, you need to create a story. Just look at the Neil Patel about page, it shares my life story, what I teach and how my mission is to help you. Because I connect with my readers that page has generated hundreds of comments. Without a story, you won't connect with your website visitors. And if you don't connect with them you won't generate as many sales. This strategy is so effective that it has also helped my Brazil about page receive hundreds of comments. In essence, it works in any language. The second thing you need to focus on is the benefit. How are you going to help people? By putting other people first, they are more likely to come back. Without that there is no reason for people to stick around. Third, you need to be impactful. What I mean by "impactful" is to use adjectives. This helps create an emotional connection. Fourth, you need to keep your about page short and to the point. If it is a video, try to keep it under 2 minutes. If it is text, keep it around 500 to 1000 words. And last but not least, you need to have an action point. After someone is done reading about you and your company, what should they do next? The action point helps solve this. For example, mine has a button to get in touch with me in regards to consulting opportunities.

How to Find the Right Keywords to Rank #1 on Google | Powerful Keyword Research Tools for SEO (2018)

05:25
I rank number one for one of the most competitive keywords out there on Google. ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Can you take a guess what it is? It's online marketing. Guess how much money that one keyword makes me? Little to nothing. Why? Because I picked the wrong keyword to rank number one for. Today I'm going to share with you how to find the right keywords to rank number one on Google. The first tip I have for you is to put your top competitor's URL in semrush. Semrush will show you the most popular pages that your competitors are getting traffic for. This will give you ideas of what your competitors are doing and how you can find the right keywords to rank for. If your competitors are bigger than you, they probably know what they're doing, and they're probably going after keywords and traffic, that convert into leads and sales. Once you've figured out their most popular pages, take those pages and put them into ahrefs. Ahrefs will show you how many links each of those pages have, and you know what the hardest thing is to do? Build Links. What you want to do is look for the most popular pages that have the least amount of links. Those are the pages you should be focusing on first. It'll give you ideas on all the keywords that your competitors are ranking for when they don't have a ton of backlinks. That'll give you an idea of the right keywords you should be targeting first, because not only will they drive you a lot of traffic, but they're the lease competitive because you don't have to build backlinks. The second tip I have for you is to use Google Search Console to find the right keywords to rank for on Google. Did you know that Google gives you a free tool that helps you rank number one? It's called Google Search Console. It breaks down all of your rankings, the keywords that your pages are getting traffic for, and even the positioning as page 1, page 2 and page 3. It breaks down exactly where you're ranking. The cool part about Google Search Console keyword planner is when you dive deep into each of your pages using the search analytics, it shows you all of the impressions that you're getting for keywords that you're on the bottom of page one for. You want to go after the keywords that you're at the bottom of page one for because it's way easier to rank number one for a keyword that you're already on the first page for, versus going after a brand new keyword that you're not even in the top hundred for. Going after a brand new keyword that you're not even in the top hundred for is a lot more work than going after one that you're already on the bottom of page one for. Google Search Console can show you keywords that you're not even trying to go after, but yet they drive traffic, and they convert visitors into customers. Go to your landing page, and make sure that those keywords are in your title tag, your meta description, your heading tag, and within the content of your page. By doing that, you'll slowly start increasing your rankings for those pages that you're at the bottom of page one for. The last tip I have for you to find amazing keywords is to use Google Trends. It's another free tool by Google. It breaks down keyword traffic from web images, news. This breaks down what keywords are climbing in popularity, and you wanna go after the keywords that aren't popular but are climbing. For example, Apple has a ton iPhones, right? If they're going to release the iPhone 100, you want to talk about it before everyone else is talking about it, because the moment you're one of the first adopters, one of the factors that Google has when it comes to rankings is time. It's hard to outrank older pages. It's not impossible, it's just harder, so why not be one of the first people to blog about new terms that aren't popular yet. Try to blog about new upcoming keywords, because you're not going to get traffic from them right away, but in two, three months, or even a year, you're going to be dominating, because no one else went after those keywords before you did. Just think about green tea, and acai berries, and all of those hot crazy nutrition terms. Yes, they're really popular now, and they're buzz words, but back in the day, no one was really looking at them. If you're not sure what keywords are up and coming, just tell me the keyword, or link in the comments below using the Google Trends link, and I'll tell you if it's the right keyword, or a negative keyword, if it's up and coming, or it's declining. That way you're not wasting your time writing articles on stuff that won't be popular. And if you need help with digital or online marketing make sure to leave your questions in the comments!

How to Increase Your Facebook Ad CTR and Pay WAY Less Per Click

Your Facebook ads will be expensive unless you improve your click through rate. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ There are two options you have when buying Facebook ads... either you pay per impression or you pay per click. Paying per impression is typically cheaper, assuming you are great at optimizing your ad. Here's how you optimize your facebook ads: 1. Have bright images that stand out. Or if you images blend in with Facebook's color scheme, it also helps generate more clicks. 2. Optimize your text. If your text doesn't have shocking or emotional value people are less likely to click. For example, the ad text headline below (assuming you are selling green tea) is a great way to generate clicks. 7 Benefits of Green Tea (Number 6 Will Shock You) 3. Keep rotating up who you are advertising to. If you keep showing the same person the ad over and over again, they won't just keep clicking on it. You need to rotate up your ad creatives and you need to adjust your target audience. And that's how you optimize your Facebook ad click through rate.

They did things like own land, own banks, own factories, but these days there's something called the internet. There are many more ways to make money online now. With the internet, you have the opportunity to make millions of dollars without investing a ton of cash or being well-connected or being born of privilege. Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you seven secrets that will help you become a millionaire in the internet age. #1: Focus A lot of people, especially the younger generation, they want to do everything. There's not enough time in the day to do 20 different businesses. Yes, you may have 20 different ideas, but PICK ONE! They once asked Warren Buffet and Bill Gates what's the one key to your success, and do you know what they both said? They wrote it down on a piece of paper, and in their own words, they said focus. So if those guys made their wealth, billions and billions of dollars, focusing, that means that you should too. You're not an Elon Musk. You can't do multiple companies at the same time. He's an anomaly. #2: Solve a vital problem You don't make wealth by just saying, "Hmm, today I want to make money." The world doesn't work that way. You have to help other people. You have to solve a problem. If you're not solving a problem, then why are people going to give you money? #3: Once you're solving a problem, your solution needs to be easy to use or affordable It has to be one or, the other. If it's hard to use and it's expensive, who's going to do it? No one. Everyone's lazy these days. Don't believe me? Just check out your phone. You use Uber because you don't want to drive. You use Postmates and UberEats because you don't want to go out of your house to get food. Everyone is looking for convenience these days, so your solution needs to be easy to use, or affordable. If not, ideally, both. #4: Learn from your mistakes #5 Execute fast If you want to move at turtle speed, well, you're going to get trampled all over and killed. Speed and execution are preferred over perfection. So move as fast as possible. If you're moving fast, and you're happy with your progress, think again. You could be moving faster, and some kid who's 15 years old, is probably moving faster than you. #6: Read There's so much knowledge out there; you don't need to go to MIT, Harvard, or Stanford to get all the knowledge in the world. You can just go to the internet. Learn from other entrepreneurs. #7 Learn from your competitors Whoever your competitors may be, go on the web and search for articles and interviews of the founder of that company. What you'll find is in those interviews, these founders-- And I don't know why they're doing this. They're revealing all their numbers, their stats, their mistakes, and the secrets that help them grow these large companies. When you learn and listen to these podcasts and these interviews, you can take what they've done that was successful for them, and replicate that into your own business. Now I want you to comment below on what business you're going to start right now, and how you're going to use these seven secrets to explode and grow your entrepreneurial career.

How to Make A Good LinkedIn Profile For Sourcing Leads: The Ultimate Business Marketing Strategy:

02:57
Ultimate Business Marketing Strategy: How to Make A Good LinkedIn Profile For Sourcing Leads - Everywhere you look, you see articles about social media tactics you can use to get more traffic or leads for your business. And while tactics can be useful, you need to combine them in a cohesive business marketing strategy if you want them to be effective. Some marketers have no problem doing this. They’ve already been able to figure out how to create a passive income business model to get leads with LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. But this is a minority of marketers. If you haven’t had great success with creating residual income opportunities with social media, then I urge you not to give up. You just need to keep learning and testing until you find the right tactics for the right situation. I’d like to give you a complete strategy filled with effective tactics that complement each other. But to do that, I need to focus on one particular social network: LinkedIn. I’m going to give you a strategy in this LinkedIn B2B tutorial that you can use to produce passive income streams for as many B2B leads as you need (provided you have the manpower to put behind it). Why LinkedIn? What makes it a robust business marketing strategy? If you sell products to other businesses, LinkedIn is the social network you need to focus on. That’s where people who are trying to further their careers and improve their job performance go. With more than 400 million members worldwide, LinkedIn has a huge pool of potential leads in just about every single niche out there. Additionally, case study after case study revealed that LinkedIn, on average, drives the most customers to B2B companies. From that short introduction, you should know whether LinkedIn is a good option for your business. Ready? Let’s get started. Step #1: 0:20 Share Your Content: Share your existing content on LinkedIn. If you have a blog share your posts on LinkedIn. If you have old content, put the first few paragraphs on LinkedIn and then add a "click to continue reading" link to get people back to your site. Step #2: 0:48 Creating A Good LinkedIn Profile: Creating a LinkedIn profile isn’t enough. Great LinkedIn profiles have a lot of information about individual or company. Fully complete your profile. If you don't fill out your profile or your skills aren't all listed, you won't get as many inquiries. The more thorough your profile is the more likely people will be to hit you up for work. Step #3: 1:06 Use LinkedIn InMail: LinkedIn InMail a paid feature that allows you to contact other members that you aren't connected with. You can do cold emails and try to generate leads through this simple paid feature. Step #4: 1:37 Get skill endorsements or recommendations. The more people that vouch for you, the more trust you will build. This will show that you are good at what you do. Step #5: 2:02 Use Linkedin Autofill: When you have lead forms on your website, LinkedIn Autofill will prepopulate the data for people. That way people won't have to enter their name, email, phone number or any other personal details. This will help boost your conversion rate and help you get more leads. Just follow the 5 steps above and you will get more leads from LinkedIn. Don’t forget to subscribe and thank you for watching Ultimate Business Marketing Strategy: How to Make A Good LinkedIn Profile For Sourcing Leads.

Why You Should Never Buy Facebook Fans

02:35
My Facebook fan page has over 900,000 fans. And you know what I wish I never had 900,000 fans. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ The reason I have them is because I bought them through Facebook ads. I spent roughly $400,000 on Facebook ads for fan page growth and post boosting. When I was spending money on Facebook at one point I was getting well over 100,000 visitors a month. Now I am lucky if I get 15,000 visitors a month from my fan page. Why? Because Facebook keeps tightening up their algorithm which makes it harder to fan pages to reach their fans. Although you shouldn't use Facebook ads for buying fans you should use Facebook ads to promote your product or service. Assuming it is cash flow positive, it is a much better ROI than Facebook ads. Learn from my experience, don't waste money on buying fans, it just doesn't work well anymore. Thanks for watching "Why You Should Never Buy Facebook Fans ". Don't forget to subscribe!

How Many Keywords Can A Single Page Rank For? (And How to Do Keyword Research)

02:18
How many keywords do you think you can put on a single page? The answer is hundreds if not thousands. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ But you are not going to be writing or creating pages based on 100 keywords. Instead, you are going to be creating pages around a group of terms or a topic. Let's say you are trying to write a page on auto insurance. You may have 2 or 3 main keywords you are targeting, such as "car insurance and auto insurance", but you will naturally include hundreds of others. Assuming you are creating a thorough page with thousands of words, you will naturally discuss everything under that topic. For example, if you wrote on auto insurance, you may compare providers like Geico or you may take about insurance terms and how to get a deal. The possibilities are endless. Although you can rank for hundreds of keywords, focus just on a handful and you will naturally include the others.

Address the problem - your headline should address the problem your visitors are facing. If they know that you can help fix their problem they are more likely to sign up. When addressing their problem, you should ideally do this within 5 or 6 words. Try to keep it under 10 if you can't make it short. 2. Have a sub-headline underneath your headline - this should address the solution to the problem. This reinforces that you can solve people's problem. 3. Continually test new headlines - your headlines can always be improved. For this reason, you should test them. Using Crazy Egg you can test your headlines and see if it is helping you generate more leads, sales, and conversions. One big reason to continually test is that things change over time. So your headline that works today may not work a year from now. This happens because market conditions change. Just follow those three steps and you will have a higher converting headline.

5 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY BLOGGING (Simple Ways to Monetize Your Blog's Audience and Make Money Online)

02:40
So you have a blog and are ready to start making money. Believe it or not, there are 5 simple ways to start making money today from your blog. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Here's how to make more money blogging: #1 AdSense It's something that Google provides, and allows you to put ads on your site. People put AdSense on their site, you put it throughout your text, your sidebar, every time they click on it, you will make money. #2: Affiliate Programs Affiliate programs is where you promote a product or service, and you get paid every time you drive a sale. There's a lot of networks out there that have affiliate offers such as Click Bank, or JVZoo. You can go there to sign up for offers, promote them on your blog, and you'll get paid every time you drive a sale. #3: Sell digital products From e-books, to courses, there's an infinite amount of possibilities with digital products. You can even use a service called Kajabi to deliver your digital products to the people who buy it. Now when you're selling digital products the best way to do it is typically through a webinar. Have people go to your site, register for a webinar, watch, and then some of them will end up buying or becoming leads, or customers, for your digital products. #4: Sell your own ad space AdSense, which is owned by Google, is the middleman. If you don't want to have a middleman you can go directly to the people that should be advertising and get them to buy ads. Sure, most people are going to say no, but that's okay. If you hit enough people up, someone will buy a ad spot. That way you can keep that middleman fee and you'll make more money #5: Sell physical products A good example of this is Legion Athletics. They have a blog all about fitness and they sell physical products. Proteins, supplements, vitamins, and you know what? They do millions and millions of dollars a year. They do over $10 million a year, literally, over $10 million a year because of their blog traffic. It's super effective as long as you're creating amazing product that people want to buy. Use those five methods and you'll be able to monetize your blog and start making much more money. If you want, you can use multiple of them. Some people do ads and they sell digital products. Some people sell digital products and physical at the same time. It's up to you on what you want to do. I wouldn't recommend doing all five, because it's just overwhelming for a visitor, but you can pick one or two, and if you want to go to the extreme you could pick three of those methods and use them all at once.

What is Growth Hacking? (Drop Box Example)

02:07
Growth hacking is a great way to market and grow your business without spending tons of money. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Growth hacking is a rapid experimentation process in which you continually change your marketing to grow faster. Growth hacking involves multiple departments within an organization, such as engineering, development, and product. For example, when Dropbox came out they tried paid advertising. They were spending over $200 to acquire a user who spent $60 a year which didn't make sense. The way they growth hacked their business was through a referral base program. Nowadays you can get extra "free" storage by inviting other users. Uber has similar product flows, which have helped them grow as well. There is no one trick that you can apply to every business for massive growth. More so you have to continually test to see what is working and what isn't. But once you crack nut you'll notice that your growth will skyrocket.

How to Start Your Own SEO Agency | Find Quality Leads For Your Digital Marketing Agency

06:27
So you want to start your own SEO agency? Here's how you do it. ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Adam LoDolce from Viewership.com talks with Neil Patel about building an SEO agency. How do I start my own SEO agency? First, you have to believe in yourself. The second thing you need to do to build your own SEO agency is to find out who's doing a ton of ads on Google AdWords, using SEMrush, and it will tell you how much money they're spending on ads each month. That'll give you an idea of how much money a company has. If they spend $500,000 a month or $1 million, or $200,000, there's a good chance they could pay you for SEO. You don't want to go after the ones who spend a half a million or a million a month because those guys are big organizations. You want to go after the ones who are spending 20, 30 grand a month. Now that you've figured out who to go after, the third step is to start your own SEO agency is emailing these companies. Another strategy is to use Crunchbase. They list out all the companies that are recently funded, their valuations, how much money they raise. When these companies raise $4 or $5 million, and you hit them and their investors up, tell them what they are doing wrong and how you can help solve the problem. Investors never want to hear that a company they just funded is messing up. So you know they're going to forward the email over. The investor's not gonna spend any time or energy solving the problem, but they're going to be sure the problem is addressed. The investor will go straight to the person who's running the company. Don't hold anything back when you send these emails. If these companies have $5 million, they're not going to take the time to learn things on their own, they're going to pay the person who just outlined their problems to fix them. You want to charge five grand a month for someone who raised $50 million or $5 million? They don't care; it's a drop in the bucket. The genius part about this is you didn't go for the marketing director or even the CEO of the company; you went to the people who were funding those people. So it's guaranteed money. And if you do well for those investors, they're gonna tell all their portfolio companies "Hey, this guy did this for one of my investments. "You should hire him for your business, too." And that's a great way to get clients. There you have it, that is how to start your own SEO agency. Make sure you leave a comment and your questions below. How to Stand Out From the Crowd in 2018 | 4 Secret Social Media Marketing Tips

06:54
The web is getting so competitive; everyone's already advertising on Facebook and Google. ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Prices are going through the roof. Social media marketing, it's already competitive. How are you going to stand out from the crowd when your mom and dad are already on Facebook? Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you how you can stand out from the crowd with social media marketing. Tip #1: Leverage the new innovative channels out there. Facebook and Instagram are old. But you know what? On these social sites, they continually innovate. Who's Facebook trying to be? YouTube. So what does Facebook roll out? Facebook Watch. It's their version of showing live TV shows, just like YouTube. Facebook wants a slice of the action. If you post your video content to Facebook, they'll instantly give you a ton of views. Why? Because they want you to move all your video content over to Facebook. That's innovative, right? #2: Be transparent. The thing with marketing is that everyone sees it for what it is. Consumers these days see right through the gimmicks. So whatever you do, do you. But if you really want to stand out with social media marketing, be transparent. Lying and telling people that they're going to get results that they're not going to get, it's just going to make people not like you. Look at sites like smartpassiveincome.com run by Pat Flynn. Pat was an architect, and now he's just like, "Hey let me create a blog telling people and showing them "how I'm making money online "and let me even show 'em my numbers "and prove that these are my real stats." And people love it. It's all about being transparent, his marketing has taken off, and he's one of the most popular bloggers and even podcasters out there because he's transparent. And that's the cool part. By being transparent, you're gonna get a following of people being like, "Oh, cool, you're showing all of your amazing moments "and all your terrible moments." If you want to be transparent with your social media marketing leave a comment with your ideas and I'll tell you if it's going to work or if it won't. I've tested a lot of this stuff out, like on the Neil Patel blog; I shared my journey all the way from going from zero to a hundred thousand visitors a month. #3: Use videos. Look, you're watching me. You know the past few months I've been doing a ton of videos, I've been going to conferences, events, and you know what people have been saying? Neil, you have amazing content. I'm like, "Great you love my content. "What was the latest piece of content that you liked?" I'm just trying to get feedback on how I can improve. And they're like, "Oh, your video on X, Y, and Z topic." They're not talking about my podcasts; they're not talking about my blog content even though my blog content gets way more traffic. Everyone's talking about my video content. Why is that? It's because it's helping me build a deeper connection with you. Sure, there are lots of comments on my videos, but I also do that in my blog comments. Why isn't my blog growing as fast? People want videos; it's how they connect with one another. So, create videos. It's not about text-based content these days; it's not about audio-based content, if you want to stand out from the crowd it's all about videos. #4: Be a long-term thinker. Look at Gary Vaynerchuk; you think he's successful, right? He is. Did it happen overnight? No, it didn't. He had Wine Library TV before that, then he created his agency, then did the DailyVee, and eventually, yes, you're seeing him everywhere, but it took him a long time before he got to where he is. And the same with me. You think I'm an overnight success? No, I've been doing this for over 16 years. That's a long time. No, you don't have to put in 16 years like I am before you start seeing results and making money, but if you want to really succeed in the marketing world, you have to think of it as a three-plus year plan. Don't expect amazing things in the first six months; you'll see some traction. After the first year, you're going to start seeing growth. After the second year, things are going to start skyrocketing. After three years, assuming you're pushing hard every single week, then things are going to start blowing up. But, if you don't do it consistently you won't do well. It's all about the long game. Follow these tips, if you're not sure which one of them you should be leveraging first in your social media marketing arsenal so you can stand out from the crowd leave a comment, I'll respond, and I'll help you out. If you need help with online or digital marketing leave a question or comment below and I'll be sure to answer!

How to Write Engaging Blog Content For Boring Industries

03:28
It doesn't matter what industry you are in, you can still create amazing content that goes viral. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ So if you want to create viral content for your industry you should first look on Reddit to see what has done well within your space. For example, if you are in the life insurance space, on Reddit you would search for "life insurance" as well as related terms like death, and money. From there create more detailed versions of the content that has done well. For example, a viral piece of content that I have written in the past is "19 Things You Didn't Know About Death". Not only did the post go viral, but it started to rank for "life insurance". I came up with that idea because someone else wrote a similar article that discussed the 10 things you didn't know about death. Mine was just more detailed. The key with creating engaging content is to look for facts. People love to share facts on the social web. You can also find ideas for your industry by doing searches on Buzzsumo and Quora. Buzzsumo sorts content by popularity (social shares). With Quora look for questions with a lot of comments and votes. You can then turn those questions into a detailed blog post on your site. Whatever you decide to write on, make sure the content is very detailed and thorough.
